Salzburg and Mozart are synonymous. Though Mozart's music has conquered and captivated every country on Earth, nowhere else in the world is as closely bound to this musical genius as Salzburg, the city where he was born.
Spending more than two thirds of his life here, his time in Salzburg was filled with rich creativity. Mozart wrote a significant portion of his extensive oeuvre during this period: Almost all of his symphonies are composed in these years, as are most of his concertos and practically all of his divertimenti and serenades.
