Wednesday will start with patchy fog in inner-Alpine valleys, which will soon clear. Otherwise, the sun will often shine through occasional patches of cloud, and it will remain largely dry today. In the afternoon and evening, some cumulus clouds will appear in the mountains, with the first local showers developing in the Tauern and Lungau regions in the evening. The wind will be light to moderate, blowing from the west. Maximum temperatures: 12 to 17 °C.

Thursday (Ascension Day) will start with thick cloud and rain, with snow falling above 1,300 to 1,600 metres. Sunny spells will be rare and are most likely during the day in the northern Flachgau region. In the afternoon, rain will be heavier, particularly in the mountainous regions. The wind will generally be light. Morning temperatures: 2 to 8 °C, maximum temperatures: 7 to 13 °C.

The forecast was already a little uncertain on Friday; as things stand today, there will only be scattered showers in the morning. It may even clear up a little from time to time, but clouds will predominate. More rain is expected to spread across the region again during the afternoon. On Saturday, the weather will be very changeable with thick clouds and rain, which will be somewhat heavier, particularly along the northern side of the Alps.
