Today, extensive and sometimes quite dense cloud fields will pass through in higher atmospheric layers. The best chances of sunshine are in the Flachgau region, elsewhere the sunshine will often be blocked or at least greatly reduced. High temperatures will range from -10 to -3 degrees C.

On Wednesday, the sky will be mostly cloudy, with light snowfall in some areas. In the afternoon, there will be a chance of clearer skies from the west, and in the evening, the sky will clear up across most areas. Low temperatures between -15 and -8 degrees C, highs will range from -9 to -3 degrees C.

On Thursday, thick clouds will come in early in the morning, with only the Lungau region seeing more sunshine. Light snowfall will become more frequent before noon in all parts of the country. The afternoon will bring mostly dry weather and temporary breaks in the clouds. At times, moderate to brisk winds will pick up from the west to northwest. Low temperatures between -19 and -9 degrees C, highs will range from -6 to +1 degrees C.

On Friday, thick clouds will paas through, bringing intermittent rain or snowfall, especially in the northern parts of the country. Freezing rain may cause black ice to form on the frozen ground! The clouds may clear up a little in the afternoon. Low temperatures between -9 and -2 degrees C, highs will range from -2 to +5 degrees C.
