From the middle of April, you will find an overview of the situation of all participating 2021 SL Card attractions here. You can currently also still find the overview map from 2020 (which will differ in a few attractions from the current season). From the end of April 2021, you can take a look at the new brochure for the 2021/22 seasons, which shows all the detailed information about the excursion destinations.

TIP: Either benefit from a 24-hour Salzburg Card OR enjoy a free trip on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road! The choice is yours!

In the middle of the historic settlement with washhouse, stables, director’s building, foreman’s house, “Kolm” (depot), Coloredo house, and vicarage, the past comes to life. The centerpiece is the open-air museum with the salt warehouse, the Salzstadl Museum. The Salzstadl Museum is an exhibition of mining objects from the days of gold-mining between 1342 to 1945 plus the small mining settlement dating from 1741 incl. the "Maria vom Guten Rat" miners' church. History The Pernerinsel is actually named after Christoph Perner zu Rif, the man who installed many features designed to protect the banks of the River Salzach and who passed away in 1568. The old saltworks on the Pernerinsel served as a central salt refinery in the mid-1800s. In fact, salt extracted from the Dürrnberg near Salzburg was processed here until 1989. In 1992, the plant underwent a major remodeling, transforming it into a theatrical venue with a special flair all its own. The Roman Catholic Parish church buildings include the Anna, Lourdes, Markt and Tannen Chapels, the Dechantshof and the Dechantshof barn. Little is known about the original shape and appearance of the oldest church in Altenmarkt. In all likelihood, however, it lay beneath the church today. The existing building, is associated with a significant historical figure: Reicher von Etling (1369-1399). At the court of the art-loving Archbishop, Pilgrim II Reicher played a great role as chaplain and later as court master (chief administrator). Altenmarkt owes the far-reaching connections of this accomplished man to the rebuilding of his church. He also donated the Annakapelle in 1395.
