From the middle of April, you will find an overview of the situation of all participating 2021 SL Card attractions here. You can currently also still find the overview map from 2020 (which will differ in a few attractions from the current season). From the end of April 2021, you can take a look at the new brochure for the 2021/22 seasons, which shows all the detailed information about the excursion destinations.

 

TIP: Either benefit from a 24-hour Salzburg Card OR enjoy a free trip on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road!  The choice is yours!

    Project ""447 signs" - Modern Art in the HospitalThe horizontal window running along the façade of the surgical wing of the Landeskrankenhaus in Salzburg was created by Austrian artist Michael Kienzer. In his works, Kienzer explores elements of time, area, space and the three-dimensionality of linear forms. Especially for Salzburg, he conceived lettering in the form of quotations which have been, in some parts, overlaid, printed on plate glass by means of a screen-printing process. The content of the displayThe quotes themselves are from Paracelsus and pertain to art, society as well as medicine. The overlaying of letters creates three-dimensional interpretive spaces that never totally reveal or explain themselves.     "7 Mills" Open-Air Adventure Museum incl. milling demonstrations! The "7 Mills" along the Mühlbachl are quite unique to the province of Salzburg. Threatened by the ravages of time, these mills, which had been such a vital part of the area landscape, were ultimately saved by the town of Pfarrwerfen and federal authorities. The mills which have been preserved reflect the history, societal development and changes in lifestyle in rural Salzburg. Reliable estimates put watermills on the banks of the Mühlbachl as early as the Middle Ages. Over the centuries, their milling charter contributed greatly to the self-sufficiency of local farmers. Due to the decrease in grain farming in mountain regions and the introduction of electricity, the mills ultimately lost their importance.

They contain neon-lit lettering in the artist's handwriting bearing the inscription: "Beyond Recall", "Envision", "Dedicated Secret". A constant reminder They also contain a text in memory of the hundreds of prisoners of war and forced labourers, who were compelled to work on the construction of this bridge against their will from 1941 until 1945 and made great sacrifices. This memorial text is at the very core of her work. The functionality of the bridge merges with its history. The bridge connects and at the same time symbolizes the cruelties of the past. "Beyond Recall" wants to remind us not to forget.
