The voyage of discovery can begin.

From the middle of April, you will find an overview of the situation of all participating 2021 SL Card attractions here. You can currently also still find the overview map from 2020 (which will differ in a few attractions from the current season). From the end of April 2021, you can take a look at the new brochure for the 2021/22 seasons, which shows all the detailed information about the excursion destinations.

 

TIP: Either benefit from a 24-hour Salzburg Card OR enjoy a free trip on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road!  The choice is yours!

    Nassfeld (elev. 1,580 m) - Bahlsenweg - Niedersachsenhaus (elev. 2,471 m) - Bockartscharte - Nassfeld Travel by taxi/bus to Nassfeld (elev. 1,580 m). Our hike leads us through the beautiful Siglitztal to the Siglitzfall. From here, the trail goes steeply uphill via the Bahlsenweg path to the Niedersachsenhaus (elev. 2,471 m). Time-on-trail: to the refuge hut ca. 3 hrs.; after a well-deserved break with a magnificent view of the Ankogel and Goldberg group, we continue our hike in a northwest direction over the Filzenkammfelsen and the Kolmkarscharte to the Bockarscharte. From there, we climb the Herrensteig path - alongside the Bockartseen - again to Nassfeld. We take the bus back to Bad Hofgastein. Gain: ca. 870 m 50 points towards the Gastein hiking pin

Nassfeld is not about untouched nature, but rather a cultural landscape that has been shaped by man for centuries. Mining ruins and the old Roman path are traces of the once much traveled trade route over the Mallnitzer Tauern. The Nassfeld National Park themed path is located at the end of the Gastein Valley Nassfeld and begins directly at the information hut of the Hohe Tauern National Park. First we take the long path into the Weißenbachtal, then a very steep climb which follows the Weißenbach at the valley head to the Woisgenscharte (elev. 2,443 m). After enjoying the magnificent view of the Ankogel group and a well-earned rest, we descend ca. 20 min to the Zentralalpenhöhenweg path 02 into Carinthia. After ca. 2 1/2 hrs., we will reach the Hagener Hütte (elev. 2,454 m). From there, we hike down to the Eselkar and Sportgastein. We then return by bus to Bad Hofgastein.
