The voyage of discovery can begin.

From the middle of April, you will find an overview of the situation of all participating 2021 SL Card attractions here. You can currently also still find the overview map from 2020 (which will differ in a few attractions from the current season). From the end of April 2021, you can take a look at the new brochure for the 2021/22 seasons, which shows all the detailed information about the excursion destinations.

 

TIP: Either benefit from a 24-hour Salzburg Card OR enjoy a free trip on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road!  The choice is yours!

    A dream becomes true! - A few steps and you fly. Together we drive to the starting point. After a brief theoretical briefing and the interpretation of the paraglider, we walk a few steps down the slightly sloping starting slope and we are already floating in the air. Your experience is photographed during the flight with a special camera. The landing is gentle and equals a jump of half a meter. As a passenger, you do not need any previous knowledge. Everyone, whether young or old (5 to 91 years) light or heavy (20 to 120kg) can participate. The normal hiking clothing is sufficient for summer clothing. In the winter, mainly skis are started. Clothing can also be borrowed.

    The construction of today's parish church of St.. Apostle James the Elder took place in the years 1652 - 1657, according to a plan of the Salzburg court architect Johann Baptist Driesche. The tower got its present form in 1775/76, when he was raised to the top floor and with a Baroque onion dome. In 1991 to 2002 led refurbishment initially comprised the structural reorganization and in 1998 completed renovation of the interior, where the wallpaper-like ornamental murals by using original findings and old photographs could be restored. Even the spire was re-covered with larch shingles.

Originally a Gothic structure and first chronicled in the year 927, it was later remodeled by Mathias Köllensperger in the late 17th cent. in the style of the Early Baroque. Characteristic of this era is the arrangement and shape of the windows, which allows for even lighting throughout the interior. The patron saint of the church, St. George, is depicted in the altar painting engaged in a tempestuous struggle with a dragon.     Parish church o St. Lawrence! Already in 788 Piesendorf was established as an independent parish and is therefore one of the oldest parishes in the archdiocese of Salzburg. Piesendorf is called the original parish of the "Oberpinzgau" (upper Pinzgau). Already before the present, basically Gothic, single-aisled parish church (with neo-Romanesque decoration from 1854) from the 13th century, there was a Romanesque church on the same place, the foundation walls of which were uncovered during the last large renovation from 1989 - 1996. Piesendorf has always had a great importance in history. Among others, the famous Salzburg prince archbishop Friedrich von Walchen was born here.
