    Parish Church St. Erasmus

The people of Fuschl am See had to make the long journey to Thalgau for their Sunday church service and the pastoral needs of the faithful were administered too from here. The dead also had to be buried in the Thalgau cemetery. There was often a loudly expressed wish for a separate church from the inhabitants but the poverty of the population and the resistance of the relevant Thalgau priests, allowed no such thought of building a church. The start of the building of a church was delayed until 1804 due to lack of funds and discord over the right building site. Parish hall

An important part of our parish infrastructure is the parish hall building (Bahnhofstrasse 1) with the large parish hall on the 1st floor (170 seats). Great concerts (e.g. Jeunesse concerts, Zeller summer concerts), plays and school events have been taking place here for decades. In addition, we have a small parish hall and a parish coffee shop in which smaller events and various parish celebrations take place (e.g. "parish café" on the 1st Wednesday of each month or educational events of the KBW ...). The parish hall can also - to a limited extent - be rented as an organizer. The contact person is the parish (parish office on the telephone number: +43 6542 724 78)

In November 1992 the parish library, which at that time contained 154 books, was reorganised by Elisabeth Bürgler and Annemarie Klappacher. Currently the library houses about 2150 media (books, cassettes, CDs, DVDs, CD/DVD-ROMS, Tiptoi books and Tonies), which can be borrowed for a small fee for a period of 3 weeks. To ensure that the wide range of media on offer is attractive and up-to-date, the media stock is regularly expanded.
