The voyage of discovery can begin.

From the middle of April, you will find an overview of the situation of all participating 2021 SL Card attractions here. You can currently also still find the overview map from 2020 (which will differ in a few attractions from the current season). From the end of April 2021, you can take a look at the new brochure for the 2021/22 seasons, which shows all the detailed information about the excursion destinations.

 

TIP: Either benefit from a 24-hour Salzburg Card OR enjoy a free trip on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road!  The choice is yours!

    The pilgrimage church of Maria Kirchental is located 240 m above the valley floor of St. Martin under the peaks of the Loferer Steinberge, in a romantic high valley. You hike from St. Martin in the Salzburger Saalachtal on a well-cleared path through the mountain forest to Maria Kirchental (800 m above sea level), to the "Pinzgauer Dom", like the beautiful baroque church from the 16th / 17th century. Century is also mentioned. If you want to have more fun, take a toboggan with you. After visiting the church, you will stop at the Kirchentalwirt (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). You can then go back to the valley on foot or, if there is good snowfall, by toboggan. Total distance: 2.1 km

To the Hirschbichl you continue on the Hirschbichl Landesstraße, into the Hintertal, past the Schaustadel and Waltlmühlsäge, after a steep climb, you walk comfortably to the border at Gasthof Hirschbichl (approx. 4 km - no winter operation).     This little winter hike takes us on a well-cleared road up to 712m above sea level. Along the Loferer Alm-Straße, after a short ascent, turning right, we reach an easily accessible path that leads us to the Krepperbauer. There we stop at the innkeepers. Depending on the snow conditions, a descent via Maurach is possible - otherwise we take the same route back. Walking time: 1.5-2.5 hours. Total distance: 5.5 km A stop at Gasthof Krepper (closed on Wednesdays) is recommended. The Kaiserschmarrn and the other homemade delicacies are particularly delicious.
