SAMO stands for Gentle Mobility
Those who opt for a holiday in the idyllic Werfenweng can not only do something good for themselves, but also something on the side for the environment. The concept is called ‘Gentle Mobility’ and it starts with the arrival. The car can have a holiday in the garage at home, because you can travel to Werfenweng directly by train – the free pick-up from the nearest station in Bischofshofen makes the most sense. Not having your own car does not mean that you have to walk everywhere. By no means! More than 100 vehicles from tricycles for children to the environmentally friendly electric cars are at guests’ disposal.

With these electric vehicles you can then also wonderfully visit the many great excursion destinations in the area. But that is not a must, as there are also locally many possibilities to make the holidays varied. Swimming in the crystal-clear mountain lake, relaxing with the cable car up into the mountain world, on a long walk or on a bike ride to discover the Werfenweng high valley.
Alpaca hiking is an experience for the whole family, regardless of the season. Ivan and Ivo await small guests and their parents to explore the place.

If you want something a bit more spectacular, enjoy the unique view of the mountain world from the air! The Bischling in Werfenweng is one of the most popular flying areas for paragliders and hang-gliders in SalzburgerLand. From early May to late October, and from December to Easter, the cable cars bring these bold athletes comfortably up to the starting point.

Winter fun for the whole family
Of course, you can quickly swing down into the valley from the mountain station or take it more leisurely across the slopes. With the Rosnerköpfl cable car, you can reach directly into the village center or from the village center directly into skiing pleasure. Typical ‘Gentle Mobility’.

Tip: FIS Ski Museum Werfenweng
In this museum one can not escape from the fascination of skiing. From the first wooden skis to the most modern racing skis, everything is here. Particularly exciting are the many smaller and larger background stories, which can be heard during a guided tour.
