Camping holidays in SalzburgerLand

Camping holidays in SalzburgerLand

Far away from home, yet at home. This is a good way to summarize a camping trip. In this situation, your home is your own RV or camper van. Actually, having your own mobile tiny residence with you instead of packing a suitcase is rather convenient! All you need now is the proper infrastructure and setting for your camping trip.

Campsites in SalzburgerLand

The numerous campsites in SalzburgerLand ensure that there is one for any need and taste – for swimmers, hiking lovers, city breaks, families, dog lovers, couples or large families.

A refreshing dip before breakfast?

A vacation at the Zellersee, Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, or Mattsee lakes is ideal. You might even obtain a parking spot directly on the lakeshore. Even if you don’t, the lake is only a few metres away! Summer may be enjoyed in any case thanks to the crystal clear seas with drinking water purity.

The following are the best sites to camp at the lake:

Shouldn’t the view from the window reflect a mountain panorama with snowy peaks?

This wish can be fulfilled. Campsites in the Hohe Tauern National Park are the ideal starting point for mountaineering fun. Nevertheless, also an ideal hiking destination are the mountain pastures not quite as high. If you like exploring the area by bike, you can enjoy the nearby Tauern bike path or the numerous, sometimes spectacular mountain bike trails.

Tip: If you cannot decide between mountain or lake, then the lake of Zell am See is for you. There, you have the lake in front of the door with the mountains – including the striking Kitzsteinhorn – as a backdrop: Panoramacamp

Would you like some culture, music, world heritage and urban flair?

The city of Salzburg also has suitable offers for camping fans. Instead being woken up by tinkling cow bells or the sound of trickling water, you rise to the ringing of church bells. You enjoy your second breakfast at Cafe Bazar on Salzach river overlooking the fortress, then stroll through the medieval streets or climb one of the hills surrounding the city. And in the evening, you can add a little culture. During the summer months, the Siemens Festival Nights on Kapitelplatz square lets you delight in real festival flair.
