The source of Gastein’s thermal water is also in Bad Gastein. The healing water surfaces from 18 springs at the foot of the Graukogel and supplies not only the Felsentherme in Bad Gastein and the Alpentherme in Bad Hofgastein, but also numerous spa and therapy centres in the valley. The famous Gastein Healing Gallery can also be found in the world-famous spa town. There the natural noble gas radon provides relief and healing for diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
You hike on stages eleven to fourteen to crystal-clear mountain lakes in captivating Bad Gastein to the summit of Europe’s highest grass mountain and past magnificent Belle Époque buildings to the neighbouring Großarltal valley, where destinations of the next stages await.
