Hiking in the alpine spring

5 days - 4 overnight stays - 3 stages

The increasing power of the sun, the lengthening day and the green of the valleys make you long for a start to the new hiking year. The Salzburger Almenweg also has the right offer for your spring-hiking-trip!

As the seasons change, the long winter gives way to a true wonderland of nature, because while the firn fields of the three-thousand-metre peaks still gleam white on the horizon, the alpine meadows are transformed into colourful carpets of flowers and the air is filled with the buzzing of bees.

But your patience and prudence are still required, as some sections of the Salzburger Almenweg are still in the grip of the fading winter, while others are already waiting to be hiked by you. That’s why we have selected those sections for you which – assuming normal weather conditions – are easily accessible from mid-May (i.e. before the official start of the Salzburg Almenweg season). So that your start to the new hiking year can be eventful and as safe as possible!
