A visit to Saalbach Hinterglemm is not only worthwhile in winter. The summer offer ranges from playful adventure worlds to hundreds of kilometres of well-developed hiking trails and mountain bike trails for beginners and pros alike. Friends of cosy get-togethers will get their money’s worth at the numerous huts in the region: traditional home cooking and other culinary delicacies taste particularly good in the beautiful mountain landscape.
Fun and games for families
In Saalbach Hinterglemm, families will find a wide range of activities for young and old, with a speciality being the playful voyages of discovery for kids. At the Reiterkogel in Hinterglemm, for example, there is the “Kodok’s adventure” where children can look forward to an exciting adventure with lots of puzzle stations as well as Kodok’s play world and ball tracks! On the Kohlmais in Saalbach, little explorers are accompanied by Montelino the clown along the adventure path, at the water playground and while feeding the wild animals.
For outdoor purists and mountaineers
But it’s not just the little guests who get their money’s worth in summer: hikers and climbers will also find countless opportunities to pursue their passion. Saalbach Hinterglemm offers over 400 kilometres of marked hiking trails. The showpiece tour is the “Seven Summits of Saalbach Hinterglemm” – a 24-kilometre mountain tour over the highest peaks of the Glemmtal valley with an alpine character and a challenging 1,400 metres of altitude.
The center for biking
Bike fans are not left out either and can let off steam on over 90 km of lines & trails and hundreds of kilometres of bike routes of all difficulty levels for downhillers, tourers and e-bikers in Austria’s largest bike region Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.
