STUBERKOGEL – ALPINE VIEW AND NATURE EXPERIENCE MOUNTAIN
The Stubnerkogel in Bad Gastein inspires with a breathtaking mountain panorama and a spectacular all-round view as a fantastic panoramic mountain. Some bravery is needed to cross the 140 m long suspension bridge or the rock trail. The views here are truly imposing and the Glocknerblick viewing platform guarantees a stunning view to Austria`s highest mountain, the Großglockner. Experience one magnificent viewpoint after another on various platforms following the circular summit trail. Also enjoy the marvelous view from the „Talblick” platform to the north and over Bad Hofgastein. From there, you can look across the Gastein valley to the alpine peaks and almost feel like you’re in an open-air cinema. The pleasant seating steps at different depths invite you to linger, marvel and relax. An exciting alpine experience is the rock path, which leads directly along the rock wall of the mountain and ends at a viewpoint.
There is also another highlight for small guests – the ;fun center is the right place with great activities for kids in all weather conditions.
Tip: The train station in Bad Gastein is located right next to the valley station of the Stubnerkogel cable car and is therefore ideal for a climate-neutral arrival by train. As a reward, there is a 10% discount for KlimaTicket holders on the ascent and descent ticket.
SCHLOSSALM – FAMILY AND ADVENTURE MOUNTAIN
The Schlossalm in Bad Hofgastein with its children´s playgrounds and parks, climbing routs as well as leisure hikes is the ideal family adventure mountain. On the Schlossalm, you hike via beautiful hiking paths along the shores of the Schlossalm lake and conquer a variety of 8 different via ferrata climbs as well as a rope bridge, ranging from rookie to expert. For beginners, there is an educational trail with important tips for climbing a via ferrata. You can playfully improve your foot technique on the practice via ferrata and the climbing garden is ideal for children to start with climbing. The children’s playground features a giant jumping pillow, a guerrilla slide, a crawling tunnel, a play tower and much more. Right next to the mountain station on the Schlossalm, children and adults can both hone their balance skills in the Slackline Park, or at the motor skill path with 20 stations in different levels of difficulty to challenge you and to play. This path leads directly to the Schlossalmblick viewing platform, the numerous box seats on the Schlossalm invite you to rest and linger. What a fun for the whole family.
