The Nature Park community of Zederhaus, a small town in the Lungau holiday region in Salzburgerland, is located at 1,215 metres above sea level and is nestled in between the magnificent Radstädter Tauern Mountains. - A true gem of folk culture is the annual Prangstangen procession on 24. June (Johannes). Up to 80kg heavy and 8m high rods are decorated over and over with individual flowers and carried with great pride through the community. They can be admired in the Zederhaus church until the 15th August.
Zederhaus in Winter
The Riedingtal Nature Park is known as a paradise for ski tourers in winter. For every level, there is the perfect tour in the snow covered landscape with more than 50 tours waiting to be discovered. Free shuttle buses drive to the surrounding ski areas of the Salzburg Lungau region, while more than 150km of slopes are waiting for families, beginners and professionals. Cross-country skiers can explore the wintery Riedingtal on the approximately 6km long cross-country ski trail. Tobogganing, ice skating and curling are popular with both guests and locals alike – thus winter shows itself from its most beautiful side.
